Following the impact of Tropical Cyclone Narelle, Onslow Primary School required urgent repair and reinstatement works to restore damaged infrastructure.
The project involved the rebuild of a large bus stop that had been destroyed during the cyclone, helping restore safe and functional infrastructure for students, staff and the wider school community.
The scope included:
- The project was delivered through a collaborative effort between specialist engineering, fabrication and civil installation teams.
- QE Fabrication was responsible for the engineering and fabrication of the replacement bus stop structure, ensuring the new structure was purpose-built for the site and capable of withstanding the demanding conditions of the Pilbara region.
- Escape Civil completed the installation works on site, bringing the fabricated structure together and reinstating the damaged bus stop infrastructure.
- The completed works restored an important piece of infrastructure at Onslow Primary School following the significant impact of Tropical Cyclone Narelle.
- The project demonstrates the importance of coordinated engineering, fabrication and civil construction capabilities when responding to cyclone-related damage and delivering reliable infrastructure in regional Western Australia.
